May 29 2013

Hey mom, so i wont be able to write much right now but what i can say is that yes i have been transfered and am now serving in Lomitas ward in ensenada. its a lot different. here it is always cool out with a breeze from the ocean. the ocean is pretty cool, i havent gotten too close to it but i can see it from my sector. So as mexicali was super flat and hot here is super hilly and breezy. to be honest i miss mexicali and would love to have stayed there a little bit more time. There is a family there that i started visiting with elder neeser and continued visiting with rendon (fam Ramirez), the family that helped me out when i got sick, that i will miss a lot.
Right now my companion is  elder Ramirez from Chiapas MX. He has 5 months in the mision.
Well i will write a lot more when i can but as for now.
Love you bye

May 21 2013

Hey y'all (im teaching my companion southern state english)

Hey hows it going? Sorry i didnt write that much yesterday but we didnt really have much time and i forgot my memory and so me and my companion decided to just write today. So these past two weeks have gone by pretty fast! It was really great hearing from you guys.
So this week is that last week of transfers so there is a chance that i am going. I have more time here then my companion but then again you never know. I still dont know if i want to go or not. It would be really cool getting to know a new area and work with different people but then again at the same time i really like all the people in this ward. There are some families that i am really going to miss if i leave here. Then again if i stay i will have to suffer more heat and im really liking the idea of going somewhere nice and cool, like Ensanada :)
This week our president finally brought us a new air conditioner. Me and my companion were really excided to recieve a new one. We brought it up to the room and fit it into the window and then when we wanted to plug it in...what do ya know! It doest fit in the outlit bucause it need 220 volts and has a different plug. Oh well we will be working with someone in our ward to get the thing working.
We have also continued working with the members in the ward. We have a few people that we have just started working with. One is the step brother of the bishop. He has come to church for the past 2 weeks but it has been difficult finding a time to teach him. He apperently works a lot. I think my companion and i are just going to go and surprise visit him without an appointment. A sister in the ward also brought her friend to church. We have to visit her too. She seems pretty shy and i dont think she can read, but the sister who invited her to church is super cool and actually had a son out on the mision before so she really likes helping out the misionaries.
So this week we did 2 family home evenings and they were both really great. The first one, my companion and i taught about the Holy Ghost and what are its functions and what can we do to have the Holy Ghost with us. My favorite part about that lesson was when we talked about how the Holy Ghost can guide us with a still small voice that tells us what we should do. I have learn recognize the Holy Ghost as that voice in my head that reminds me to do my daily prayers and scripture reading even when i feel too tired :) jaja
In the second family home evening i taught about the story of Nefi and the Liahona. And how his family used it to guide them through the wilderness to where they need to go. We comparied the liahona to other things that we have in our lives that guide us like Prophets and the scriptures and so on.
Also, other highlight of the week is that ======== (joven that we baptised) passed that sacrament this week!

Well g2g
Love you all

Special midweek photos!

From the mom:
Our bishop and his wife traveled to southern California this past week and got permission to see EJ this past week! I haven't spoken with Bishop and Sister J yet (since they are getting back this evening), but they sent us these three pictures:

Thank you, Bishop and Sister J, for taking time out of your trip to drive the 2-hour-one-way trip to Mexico to say hello to Jimmy! And thank you for sending pictures to us to prove that he is doing ok!

May 6 2013

Hey Mom
so i just left from the clinic and well i feel good. basically just told them all of my symptoms (stomach problems) and like 30 mins before going to the clinic i had a allergic reaction to something and was covered in rashes (nothing too bad). So they wrote me up some perscription and pumped some fluids in my hand/vain para the allergic reaction, stomach pain, and infection that i have in my intestines or someone in that digestive tracked. Alls well, they say that i will slowly be getting better throughout the week with these medicamentos. Wow im having trouble writing in english.
Well i feel like that was my whole day. I was going to take the rest of the day to relax and buy food and meds because we didnt do that earlier.... but our leaders are sending us to some weird area that i dont know in the other stake to find someones house because our leaders set up an appointment for us and are making us go. It will be good because it means work but.....today of all days :( oh well esta bien.
Well the past week was kind of a lazy week, not because i wanted to be lazy but because i wasnt feeling that great and everytime i ate my stomach acted up and we returned home until things settled down. We meet and taught a guy who was deported from MN. His name is ====, he and his wife lived in shakopee but now its just his wife that is there and he is waiting, i think, to be able to go back. He is a neighbor to one of the members in the ward. He didnt go to church yesterday (dont know why) but it seems like he has a great desire to change his life around.
So the plans are that i will call you guys from skype at like 1:30pm my time on sunday.
Welll....if you have any questions ask. Otherwise i got to go.
Love you all! Bye
